In a remarkable show of solidarity and community spirit, over 60 golfers from across Ealing and beyond converged on Perivale Park Golf Course on December 29th to participate in the annual three-club and putter challenge. This event, organized by club member George Kolorz, was more than just a competition; it was a statement against the proposed closure of this historic golf course by Ealing Council for their new regional park scheme.
For nearly a century, Perivale Park Golf Course has been a cornerstone for physical and social wellbeing in our community. The closure threat looms large, risking the loss of a treasured local asset.
The competition saw spirited performances, with Suresh Kansagara clinching the gold medal, followed by Pech Tamang in second place. New lady member Jamie Anne Barnes impressed with a third-place finish, and Pawel Mes secured a very creditable fourth place.
As we continue our campaign to save Perivale Park Golf Course, we urge everyone to join us in this crucial fight. Visit www.SavePPGC.org to learn how you can contribute to preserving this vital community resource.
Together, we can make a difference.
